Liquefied Hydrocarbon Gases (LHG)

LHG - Liquefied hydrocarbon gases, like any fossil fuel, are a non-renewable energy source
SIBUR produces LHG from gas processing of associated petroleum gas (APG) produced together with crude oil and natural gas. The basis of LHG is the saturated hydrocarbons containing three or four carbon atoms: propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10). Small concentrations of other hydrocarbons may also be present.
The main applications for LHG are raw materials for petrochemical industries, municipal consumption and as automotive fuel.
As a rule, gas is stored in liquid form under pressure or in cooled form in steel containers, cylinders or tanks. The pressure inside the tank will depend on the type of LHG (butane, propane, mixture) and the environmental temperature.
